The Great Zombie Debate

Mucinex turned to us to generate mass consumer awareness surrounding the launch of Mucinex Nightshift Cold & Flu. The goal was to position Nightshift as the nighttime OTC medication that will help you wake up feeling human. So we did what any agency worth their salt would do, we UNLEASHED THE ZOMBIES!

Here in the heart of The Oculus (a mass transit hub in New York City) Mucinex unveiled the “Nightshift Wake Up Human” Popup Launch Event satirically warning people about the “zombie-ending power” of Nightshift. The launch event included a staged mock debate between humans and zombies about the benefits of being in a fluish zombie state!

Aligning with celebrity brand ambassador – and Mucinex user – Jason Biggs helped drive widespread media coverage. Select media was even invited to interview Jason Biggs to discuss the launch and cold and flu season.

To-date, there have been 21 articles published, totaling 266 million media impressions.
