Andrew MacDowell

CTO and Director of Paid Promotion

Andrew comes to Lippe Taylor from Brooklyn Strategic, a digital communications firm he founded with a focus on integrated marketing plans, digital production projects and online advertising campaigns.  He has over 20 years of experience in digital communications, and is an Adjunct Professor of Public Relations and Corporate Communications at NYU.

During his work with Brooklyn Strategic, Andrew’s clients included the New York Academy of Sciences, the Energy Storage Association, and the Campaign for Black Male Achievement.

Before Brooklyn Strategic, Andrew was the Managing Director of the New York office of Connections Media.  Clients at Connections Media included Bloomberg Philanthropies, CurePC, Cablevision, Students First New York, and NBCUniversal

Andrew joined Connections Media after four years at Edelman, where he served as a Vice President in the Digital Public Affairs Group of its Washington, DC office.  At Edelman, Andrew conceived and managed communications strategies and led a team devoted to engaging online allies, managing digital advocacy tools, and developing and maintaining social media platforms for leading public affairs and advocacy clients including the American Petroleum Institute, , the Alliance to End Slavery and Trafficking, the National Center for Family Literacy, and the Harvard Business School.

Andrew enjoys reading, biking, running, and teaching. He grew up in Rochester, NY and makes his home in Brooklyn with his wife Andrea Salvatore – Managing Director of Programs at the NYU Center for Ballet and the Arts - and their children Henry and Maggie. Andrew holds a BA from Dartmouth College in Philosophy and English.
